The appointment gives UK public sector organisations established procurement routes through which to access Alemba's cloud-based IT service management and enterprise service management solutions.

G-Cloud 15 is managed by the Government Commercial Agency (GCA), formerly Crown Commercial Service (CCS). The framework helps public sector organisations purchase cloud hosting, software and support services, providing access to a broad range of suppliers and cloud technologies through a quick and straightforward route to market.

What has changed with G-Cloud 15?

G-Cloud 15 introduces a number of important changes from G-Cloud 14.

The framework has been established under the Procurement Act 2023 as a four-year open framework. It also enables call-off contracts to be awarded with or without further competition across all lots, giving public sector buyers additional options when selecting an appropriate procurement route.

Price, quality and social value were formally evaluated as part of the G-Cloud 15 award process. Under G-Cloud 14, price and social value information was submitted but was not evaluated in the same way at framework award stage.

For suppliers, this means providing clearer evidence of service quality, pricing and the social value outcomes they are committed to delivering. Social value responses are assessed on the quality of the proposed approach, including how commitments will be implemented, measured and reported.

G-Cloud 15 also introduces updated supplier assurance requirements, revised economic and financial standing checks, full prompt-payment compliance and updated technical ability requirements.

The platform can also be used to support enterprise service management processes across departments such as HR, facilities, finance, payroll and procurement.

This allows public sector organisations to bring services, workflows and information together within one platform, helping teams reduce repetitive administration, improve visibility and deliver more consistent experiences to employees and service users.

Supporting complex public service environments

Public sector organisations frequently need to manage high service volumes, complex approval processes, regulatory responsibilities and a wide range of internal and external users.

Alemba Service Manager can be configured around each organisation's processes rather than forcing teams to adopt a rigid, standardised operating model. Its automation, reporting, self-service and integration capabilities help organisations improve operational control while continuing to adapt their services over time. Alemba is PinkVERIFY certified and holds ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus, supporting the assurance expectations of public sector procurement.
